Conflict Zen now featured in Alltop

7 May 2008 by Tammy Lenski 9 Comments

conflict zen announcementIn March Guy Kawasaki announced Alltop: “Alltop is deceptively simple. The site gathers up the best suggestions from the most active social web users and compiles links into a simple, clean discovery space.” I’m a big fan of Guy because I like his sense of humor and smart blog.

Yesterday, I learned that Conflict Zen® is now one of Alltop’s featured blogs. I feel like Sally Field at the Oscars in 1985!

It’s been a good week. On Saturday at the fabulous SOBCon ’08, the Lorelle told me my 10-word description of this blog made her hair stand up (in a good way, it turns out) during an exercise in her workshop, and the audience gave an appreciative “ooh!” when I shared it. The description? I help people untangle disagreements so you love going to work.

Featured in AlltopAt Alltop, I’m in good company with other conflict resolution blogs written by friends and colleagues:

  • Diane Levin’s Mediation Channel and World Directory of ADR Blogs
  • Geoff Sharp’s Mediator blah…blah…
  • Vickie Pynchon’s Settle It Now
  • Gini Nelson’s Engaging Conflicts
  • Stephanie West Allen’s Idealawg
  • Chris Annunziata’s CKA Mediation & Arbitration Blog

Great news, Tammy! I’ve not visited Alltop too much, but I get a few daily visits to Logo Design Love after it was included in the design section.

I hope everything’s going well for you this week.

    Great news, Tammy!

I just left a comment, then realised (via the short note at the bottom of the form) that it would be queued in Akismet. Not to worry.

    Congrats on the feature.

Christine, one of the highlights of SOBCon was standing in the bow of the boat chatting about good books with you. You are a treasure.

David, thanks for stopping in…the work you did on my logo served as the foundation for so much of my thinking about how I wanted to use and construct this site. You did so much more than graphic design…you helped me think clearly.

Liz, words will never quite capture the special place you hold in my heart. SOBCon has been transformative to me, both in terms of my learning and in terms of the real friendships it’s forged. You rock my world.

“Untangle disagreements” – eloquent and concise, I love it.

Congrats on the Alltop honor, Tammy!

Easton, thanks for stopping in! You’ve put up so much compelling content about SOBCon I’m going to have to spend half a day on your blog working through it and learning from it. You are one of those people who exemplifies for me the generosity of the blogosphere.

Toby, thanks for your kind words. I put a lot of effort a few months back into getting really clear about my brand, both in terms of image and content, and the payoff’s showing…lots of comments like yours and from clients too. Phew.
